Community Advisory Council Event Series: Supporting Youth in the Digital Age. This fall, the School-Community Health Alliance of Michigan invites you to participate in an important four-part virtual series for our Community Advisory Councils. 

These sessions will focus on a challenging and increasingly relevant topic: Adolescent Online Sexual Experiences and Exposure to Pornography. Each 45-minute session will provide insight into the ways online content and platforms are shaping adolescent development and mental health. We’ll offer expert-led conversations that include a live Q&A component so participants can reflect and ask questions in real time. 

This series is designed for School-Based and School-Linked Health Center Community Advisory Councils (CAC).

January 14, Sexual Violence and the Internet

All sessions run from 6:15–7:00 p.m., including time for Q&A. 

You may choose to attend live or access the recordings after each event. Cost for Full Series (Live or Recorded Access) regardless of the number of attendees per CAC: $50 for SCHA-MI member organizations $100 for non-member organizations. We highly recommend live attendance so as to be able to ask questions of the presenter, and to promote community through live attendance of several community advisory committees.

We require each Health Center to designate a lead contact person for registration, communication and Zoom access. Registration is now open! Please register early so we can ensure meaningful engagement across our health center network.
