Join us on May 7, 2025, for an inspiring day of advocacy, engagement, and impact at the SCHA-MI Youth Advocacy Day! This is your opportunity to raise your voice for equitable health care for all Michigan youth and make a real difference in policy decisions affecting young people.

Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Meals Provided: Continental breakfast & a delicious Fajita/Taco Bar lunch
Free T-Shirt for Every Youth Attendee (Please provide shirt sizes when registering)

What to Expect

• Kickstart the day with a continental breakfast and an energizing welcome session
• Engage in discussions on the importance of school-based health care and youth advocacy
• Meet with legislators to share your stories and advocate for crucial policy changes
• Enjoy a complimentary lunch featuring a Fajita/Taco Bar with grilled chicken, taco beef, sautéed        veggies, Mexican rice, chips, salsa, and more!
• Network with other passionate youth, community members, and policy advocates

Comfortable shoes are highly recommended! You’ll be walking and engaging throughout the day.

This year, important policy modifications may be made to Medicaid and other health policies that impact young people. Your stories, your experiences, and your advocacy can directly influence decision-makers. We also encourage you to bring Community Advisory Council (CAC) members, family, or other community voices—they are vital in shaping policy discussions!
